In today’s frantic world, mental health is an area that is frequently ignored. This is especially true within the Asian student population. One of the reasons is that it’s effects are not immediately apparent. However, this does not mean that it is insignificant. Suicide (which is one of the symptoms of poor mental health) is the third largest health risk within the Asian student community. And yet, we see a paucity of mental health resources for this population. We hope to remedy this. In collaboration with the Mental Health Program at Midwest Asian Health Association (MAHA), Northwestern University Chinese Students and Scholars Association (NU CSSA), Dr. Daolong will hold a mental health workshop to raise awareness on the importance of good mental health. It will consists of a short presentation, followed by a Q&A session where Dr. Daolong will answer any questions and concerns you may have. Hope to see you there!
