NU Maum Meditation

posted Apr 28, 2013, 6:48 PM by Yongli Wang   [ updated Apr 28, 2013, 6:51 PM ]

Do you want to know your true nature in a month's time?

I am starting a NU Maum Meditation student group under The Graduate School. Maum means body, soul and spirit in Korean. Our group's goal is to help members realize what their true nature is and rediscover their true purpose in life. Through practicing Maum Meditation, the Human Mind changes to Infinite Universe Mind.  It is a simple 7-step guided method of subtraction that allows you to become free of human suffering. It creates room within each meditation student for true repentance, true acceptance, and true love.

This non-profit organization has caused a sensation around the globe. It has grown from one meditation center to 300 centers worldwide in just 16 years. We want Chineese International Student Association to run a booth for Project Pumpkin!!!

posted Oct 12, 2012, 9:36 AM by Haotian Liu

Project Pumpkin is looking for Northwestern student groups to run a booth with a game/activity for kids on Thursday, October 25th!

Project Pumpkin is an annual trick-or-treat event run by the Northwestern Community Development Corp (NCDC).  Our goal is to provide local kids with a safe and fun place to trick-or-treat.  Each year we turn Norris into Halloween paradise with themed rooms, a haunted house, and agiant pumpkin bouncy house.  Because trick-or-treating is not allowed in Evanston, Project Pumpkin is an amazing way to help make Halloween awesome for more than 1,000 kids... and we need your help to do that! (For more information about Project Pumpkin, visit the website HERE)

All we need from your student group is to:
Think of a fun activity for kids to do and buy appropriate supplies.
Check in at Norris, day-of by 3:30pm.
Make sure there is always someone manning the booth.
Make Halloween awesome for over 1000 kids.
We will provide you with a booth and FREE CANDY to give away to the kids!

To sign your student group up to run a booth at Project Pumpkin, click here!

The deadline to sign up is next Wednesday, October 17th!

If you have any questions at all, please feel free to reply to this email or contact the Project Pumpkin Booths Committee head (Karen Wilber) at KarenWilber2015@u.northwestern.edu
