Crossroads In A Rapidly Changing World

The Association of Chinese-American Scientists and Engineers (ACSE)
will hold its 19th annual conference on Oct. 8, 2011 at Renaissance
Schaumburg Hotel and Convention Center, Illinois, USA. The theme of
the conference is “Crossroads In A Rapidly Changing World”. The
conference will be featured with plenary session in the morning
(9:00AM – 12:00PM), three afternoon breakout sessions (2:30PM-5:00PM)
on Breakthrough Science and Technology, Renewable and Clean Energy,
and Entrepreneurship. An onsite job fair will also be held.

Driven by economic development and globalization as well as advanced
science and technology, the world is changing faster than anyone can
imagine. The economic growth around the globe is altering the world’s
energy supply and demand, business opportunities, urbanization, as
well as environments. All these rapid changes around the world are
impacting not only companies but also individuals. In particular,
China has been one of the major economic growth regions in recent
years and has provided a lot of business and career opportunities for
companies and individuals in the US. The goal of this conference is to
provide a platform to discuss the changes in the world, the advances
of science and technology, and their impacts on individuals,
especially Chinese-Americans. Our invited senior corporate executive
speakers from Navistar and Chinese National Institute of Clean Energy
will discuss their views on the opportunities by those changes in
macro and micro scales. We also invited the world leading scientists
and engineers who will present the frontier research in information
technology, electronics, bio-renewable energy, solar energy, batteries
for electrical car, etc. Their insights on the development in science
and technology will help you identify challenging and rewarding fields
you can work on. Our entrepreneur speakers will share their personal
experience on how to identify opportunities and how to balance the
life and work in such a dynamic world.  In addition, large US
corporations will be collecting resumes at the conference job fair.
