Invitation to apply to BCG Greater China’s 2012 PhD Internship Program

Dear PhD candidates,

Happy New Year! On behalf of The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) Greater China practice, I wish you a joyful and prosperous new year of 2012!

BCG is a leading global management consulting firm. We help our clients—private sector companies, governments, and NGOs—solve critical, challenging problems. With more than 74 offices in over 42 countries, we are growing faster than our key competitors in every region.

Greater China is a key growth market for BCG. We have already built a long track record and solid reputation which keep clients turning to us for help in navigating the dynamic business environment. In Greater China, we have been continually supporting many of our long-term local and multinational clients with their strategy and implementation.

Advanced degree holders are, and will always be, an integral part of who we are. Our founding partners held doctorates in areas as varied as anthropology, psychology, and economics. Our current CEO and more than 50 of our partners—including in Greater China—hold advanced degrees, as do more than one third of our new hires, globally.

As such, we would like to invite you to apply to our 2012 PhD Internship Program in Greater China. Our internship program offers great opportunities for you to know more about our extremely strong and fast-growing business in Greater China, and to obtain first-hand experience of working with our energetic team on real-life business problems for our clients. You will also have the opportunity to interact with some of the key business leaders influencing how businesses operate in China today.

The 2012 PhD Internship Program is open to final or penultimate year PhD degree candidates. The internship program is arranged throughout the year. Once you are invited to join the program, we will work out your internship plan based on YOUR schedule. If you are interested in this program, please submit your application throughhttps://onlineapplication.bcg.com by 17th February, 2012. Please indicate Greater China offices as first priority in geographic preference, i.e. Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Taipei.

For students unable to participate in an internship experience due to academic or personal commitments, BCG also offers our Bridge to BCG Workshop.   Bridge is a three-day workshop for advanced degree candidates being held this summer.  The program will allow participants to find out about consulting and get to know BCG,  to participate in a realistic case experience,  and to meet BCG's thought leaders, consultants and students during social and educational events. Additional information about Bridge to BCG 2012 and the upcoming campus events will soon be found at http://www.bcg.com/careers/adc.aspx.  Please stay tuned.

We are proud of our strong team and now hope to expand it with people who are as passionate about creating long lasting change in Greater China as we are. Please visit www.bcg.com.cn  for information about our Greater China practice. Should you have any question about application, please feel free to send email to yu.jinglan@bcg.com

I look forward to meeting you in person.

Best regards,
