We encourage information exchange and resource sharing within our community. You can use our BBS to exchange housing information, buy and sell items, share resources, posting and finding jobs, discuss general life topics, or look for help. New students and scholars have a special forum to sign up for special services.

New Student/Scholar Airport Pickup
New students and scholars, we understand that the first day in a foreign city can be quite daunting, even if there wasn't a jet lag. Contact us two weeks before your arrival time on our BBS, or contact our new student coordinator. We'll look for volunteers who can help pick you up from the airport.

New Student/Scholar Shopping Assistance
It can be hard for new students and scholars to buy life essentials without a car. We'll arrange two shopping trips to help them. Contact our new student coordinator for details.

Friendship Partner Program
Make American Friends, Exchange Cultures, and Improve Your English! NU CSSA Friendship Partner Program has teamed up with a group of kind-hearted American host-families to provide you with the opportunity to learn about American culture and people first-hand.

Christmas Open House
Christmas is the most celebrated holiday in America . One of the many ways that people celebrate during the Christmas season is to have an open house. An open house is a social event where someone extends invitations to friends and neighbors to come and visit their home for part of an evening, to share food, drinks, and enjoy spending time with the friends they know, and begin new friendships. People can come for as short or as long a time as they like. Usually there is music or some other entertainment. There is always good food and a festive holiday atmosphere. At Christmas, it is a wonderful way to share a family's home with others, meet new people and share in the joy of the holiday.
