Make American Friends, Exchange Cultures, and Improve Your English!

The CSSA at Northwestern University and a group of kind-hearted American host-families have teamed up to provide you with the opportunity to learn about American culture and people first-hand. It is called the “Friendship Partner Program.”

What is the Purpose of the Program? To introduce students in our Chinese community to American culture while helping Americans learn about the people and culturefrom China.

 Who are the Friendship Partners? They are married and single American people living in the Chicago area. They have a great interest in learning about other cultures and wish to help international students learn more about life in the U.S. All of our Friendship Partners have been screened for your safety.

What will you do in the Program? You will meet with your Friendship Partner about once every month to share an activity you are interested in. The length of the program is one full academic year (3 semesters or 4 quarters).
